David Schur got addicted to songmaking in high school, recording tapes with friends in Lexington, MA, a suburb of Boston. He started making albums at home in 1989 with a four-track cassette recorder. As of 2022, he has made about twenty-five albums. He has a day job as a college professor, which gives him a lot of freedom to continue making recordings on his own terms.
